Description

Earthkeeper WRL Biodegradable Wire Rope Lubricant

Wire ropes are a machine component. Like any other machine component, they have moving parts that require lubrication. Bending and stretching of the rope results in friction and a good anti-wear lubricant is called for. Earthkeeper WRL penetrates to the core, ensuring that the rope is lubricated throughout. The oil is treated with additives that enhance anti-wear capabilities and even provide a degree of extreme pressure protection. Wire rope life is extended. Downtime for rope changes is reduced and production is increased.

Earthkeeper WRL is ideal for marine environments. Negative consequences from accidental spillage are greatly reduced, as it easily passes all tests for biodegradability and is classified as “Readily Biodegradable”.

Earthkeeper WRL meets the definition of a biobased lubricant as outlined in section 9001 of The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act (FSRIA) of 2002 (Public Law 107-171/ HR 2642) and qualifies for preferred procurement by U.S. Federal Agencies as set forth in FSRIA section 9002.

Earthkeeper WRL has been certified by the USDA as biobased, and has earned USDA BioPreferred designation.
